Your first rewrite

Onboarding walks you through your first rewrite: you write a rough instruction in a real text box, press the Goldfish key, and Goldfish writes the result in place. The onboarding shows you which key to press on your keyboard, and you can replay the tutorial any time from Settings under Tutorials.

Where Goldfish lives

• The aquarium bar: a slim bar at the edge of the screen, by default under the notch at the top. Move the cursor to it or click it to expand the chat.
• The tray icon: pause capture, open Settings, or quit.
• The desktop pet: a small goldfish that swims on your desktop. Drag it out of the aquarium to let it float free, and right-click it for options.

Quitting

Three ways: the tray icon menu, right-clicking the desktop pet or the notch bar, or the Quit Goldfish button at the bottom of the Settings sidebar.
